With full regard for individual choice and taste, we at ArtZotic formulate our statement in the selection of the artwork exhibited. We seek out those who appreciate harmony and strength of expression and do not confine themselves only to pleasing images and commonplace representations of reality. When looking at a work of art, one engages in visual analysis. Intuitively, more viewers of art prefer Form to Harmony and Impression over Expression. Hence a large number of viewers are drawn to an artwork of familiar forms. Strength of an art artwork is less appreciated because these viewers cannot read or analyse these significant traits. Commonplace notions of reality take precedence over harmony in art. They are also turned off by a work of art that is impressionistically unhappy and disturbing as the artist is making his explicit statement. The artist is denied due credit for such skillful expression, which is not less important than a pleasant impression |
